Tweet Jim Morrison, singer, lyrics writer and public face of the Doors, died in Paris, France, on July 3, 1971 at the age of 27 years and 207 days. The official cause of death was heart failure. There was no autopsy, and the French medical examiner’s findings have been disputed. In fact, his death has been disputed, but Morrison’s girlfriend Pam Courson and the medical examiner both saw his lifeless body. The facts are these.
